Getting Back to her Roots
Breathing New Life into the Business That Shaped Her
Lesley Holloway was born and raised in Mineola, Texas, with family roots in the area spanning multiple generations. Daughter to Curtis and Nina Holloway, Lesley was Miss Mineola 1995-1996, Mineola Lion's Club Queen 1995, and Drum Major for the Mineola High School band. From 1993 to 1997, she worked at Kitchens, and during those years you could also find her performing at Lake Country Playhouse just around the corner in the Historic Select Theater.
After graduating from Mineola High School, Lesley earned her undergraduate degree from Texas State University in 2001 and her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M Law School in Fort Worth in 2005. She spent time in New York City studying voice and acting before returning to Texas to practice law in Dallas, where she now lives with her family.
In October 2024, Lesley came full circle when she purchased Kitchens—the beloved local establishment where her own journey began decades earlier. Committed to preserving this cornerstone of the Mineola community, you'll often find her at Kitchens on the weekends working diligently alongside her dedicated team, ensuring the restaurant continues to serve the town she's always called home.
